Scott Mason is NH FISH &Games New Executive Director
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire’s Executive Council on Wednesday confirmed Scott Mason as the next executive director of the state Fish and Game Department.
Mason, of Stratford, is an outdoorsman and runs a dairy farm. Gov. Chris Sununu appointed him to serve on the University System Board of Trustees representing agriculture, and to the New Hampshire Milk Premium Fund Board. He also worked on behalf of the Northern Pass electric transmission project. Sununu nominated him in June. The council voted 3-1 to confirm Mason, following a public hearing last week.
NTA IS ANTLER COLLECTING
I hope everyone will get enthused about and collect some antler for our 2021 NTA Convention. It is our wish to be able to collect several thousand pounds of antler. If this works, as we know it can, it will mean a great deal of work at the convention. We need your help in processing the antler you collect. Iowa law does not allow us to sell antlers on the skull so please cut antlers below the burl, being sure to not damage the burl. Sets of trophy class antlers should be zip tied together. We will be lotting out antlers by species and condition and if everyone can try to bring antlers in lots that fit these parameters it will make check in go much faster and smoother.
We will separate by species, Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Blacktail Deer, Elk, Moose, Caribou and Exotics. We will also separate out spike elk and six point and better elk. We cannot sell wild sheep horns or antelope horns, so please do not bring wild sheep or antelope horns.
ANTLER CONDITION #1 – Good brown not damaged or chewed #2 – Slightly damaged or chewed, bleached or slightly cracked #3 – Badly damaged, cracked or broken Trophies
